Themethodisapplicabletoliquid,concentratedanddriedmilk-basedinfantfoodswithno,ornotmorethanamassfractionof5%(drymatter)ofsuchaddedmatterasstarch,dextrin,vegetables,fruitandmeat.
Themethodisnotapplicabletoproductswhichdonotdissolvecompletelyinammoniaowingtothepresenceofstarchordextrinatmassfractionsofmorethanafewpercent,ortothepresenceofhardlumps.Themethodisalsonotapplicabletoproductswhichcontainfreefattyacidsinsignificantquantities.Theresultsobtainedfortheseproductswillbetoolow.
